The first back to school tournament was held on September14, 2007 at I.S. 318. Over 50 players battled it out in three sections. The Open section was won by Michael Peguero with a perfect score. The reserve section was won by Michael Amatulli! The beginner section was won by Jonathan Duran with a score of 5.5/6.
The team also went to the NY Met game on Friday evening. Fun was had by all.
A reminder----Chess Club begins this week. See Ms. Vicary in Room 319 for a permission slip.
For those students who are in Mr. Sher's Thursday group. The lessons will begin this Thursday.

I play chess but I'm not on the team. I love sseing 318's chess team succed. The chess team plays alot if cool openings. I saw them before in room 319. I think the openings I'd 'perfer' are the scillian and the french.
